Open Position at the World Bank’s Business Enabling Environment

The World Bank’s Business Enabling Environment (BEE)(https://www.worldbank.org/en/programs/business-enabling-environment/bee) project seeks a highly-motivated Short Term Consultant (STC) to work primarily on contributor (i.e. survey respondent) recruitment, contributor information coordination, and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for research, web scraping and data management purposes. The position requires strong dataset management skills, good command of at least basic AI tools used for data scraping, data cleanup and data processing, ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment, as well as excellent organizational skills and detail-orientation.

The Business Enabling Environment (BEE) project provides a quantitative assessment of the business environment for private sector development, published with annual frequency and covering most economies worldwide. The BEE data and summary report aim to advocate for policy reform, inform specific policy advice and provide data for development policy research. Through its focus on private sector development, BEE effectively contributes to meeting the WBG twin goals of eliminating poverty and boosting shared prosperity.
