Through the ARUA Centre of Excellence for Non-Communicable Diseases (ACE-NCD), hosted at the University of Nairobi, Prof. Madara Ogot has secured funding from the Association of Commonwealth Universities to conduct an online Grant Proposal Writing training for early career researchers (ECR) from our five member Universities (Makerere University, University of Ghana, University of Ibadan, University of Nairobi, and University of Witwatersrand). The researchers must be involved in any one (or more) of the five thematic research areas of the ACE-NCD. Early career is defined as PhD students who are in the research phase of their work (they have successfully defended their proposal) or faculty members who received their PhDs no earlier than 2013.
All participants will be provided with a small grant to cover their Internet cost ($10) and receive a coupon to download the training e-book, Write Winning Grant Proposals: A Step-by-Step Guide.
More details on the training are on the ARUA website, https://arua-ncd.org/grant-proposal-writing-training/.
The training shall be virtual on March 29 and 30 from 12-2PM (EAT).
If interested and you meet the above requirements, urgently send an email to the ACE-NCD Secretariat, acencd@uonbi.ac.ke with the following information.
