The African Centre for Women Information, Communication and Technology (ACWICT) a Kenya-based NGO which focuses on ICT for Development (ICT4D). It's an organization that seeks to promote women and youth to access ICT tools to improve their education, employment, health and leadership opportunities. The organization reaches over 25,000 women and youth annually and has trained 178,638 youth in various ICT skills to date with 70% placed into internships, jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities.
International Youth Foundation (IYF) together with Google in partnership with ACWICT have initiated a job placement support program dubbed ‘Skills for Success’ targeting to train young women between the ages of 18-25. This training will take place on the google platform, Coursera, and the participants will be awarded a Google IT Certificate on completion, after which they will be placed to our various employer partners.
Selection and interviewing are set to take place beginning 31st March 2021.
