KENET - SAFARICOM DISCOUNTED DATA BUNDLES

The University of Nairobi in partnership with KENET negotiated with Safaricom PLC a mobile network provider for a Discounted Bundles package for use in remote teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

The university of Nairobi students and staff are therefore encouraged to apply to supplement the University sponsored SOMA-NA-TELKOM data bundles.

This is a self –sponsored prepaid service where students or staff can purchase Safaricom 10GB/month data bundle at KES 500.

The discounted bundles are restricted to accessing ONLY educational resources/websites from sources that are whitelisted by the mobile network service providers.

 To register and have your safaricom phone number whitelisted to purchase the discounted bundles visit https://registration.kenet.or.ke/registration and fill the online registration form. Once you submit the completed registration form, a verification email will be sent to your university email provided in the registration form.

 To complete the registration process, access your University email provided in the registration form and click on the account verification link shown in the verification email

 Kindly note that new registrations/submissions to have the phone number whitelisted will take between 7 to 14 days to be enrolled and activated for discounted bundles purchase.
